Parents/Supporters
I hope everything is going well. I just wanted to say a big thanks to all the parents and supporters who have been attending our matches and giving our wrestlers the fan support they need. To give you a quick update on the season...so far we are 4-0 on matches....we have won the last 2 tournaments that we have competed in. This week's competitions are as follows. Tonight we have picked up an additional JV wrestling match at Justin Northwest High School. The competition starts around 6:30 p.m. This weekend we have a tournament at Wylie High School....it will be for both varsity boys and jv boys. This will be our toughest tournament so far. Please come out and support your SGP wrestling team. The tournament at wylie high school will begin at 10:00 a.m. We will weigh in at 9:00 a.m., and we will leave SGP high school at 7:15 a.m. on saturday morning.
The holiday practice schedule is as follows.
Dec 21st-23rd practice at 10:00 a.m. till 11:30 a.m.
Dec 28th-31st practice at 10:00 a.m. till 11:30 a.m.
I will be sending out a holiday practice schedule on paper home with the wrestlers. Also....our website is up and running...please check it out. A big thank you goes out to Steve Jackson who worked hard on getting it up and running. You can check here for updates on the season.

we want to add some more pictures up, however we need to have release forms signed by the wrestlers parents that will allow us to post their pictures.
we also want to remind everyone of Lone Star Duals on Jan 15th and 16th. We need lots of parent support to help out with this event. We will be emailng out updates of volunteer sign up sheets shortly.

Seguin Invitational
On Saturday, we participated in the Seguin Invite. We came away with first place as a team and we also got several individual awards. Chris Carmona got 1st place. Christian Salinas, Kyle Do, Ricky Ortiz, Dominique Yang, Dusty Bess, and Sal Hernandez all got 2nd place. 3rd place went to John Hubbard, Javier Ornales, and Abraham Romero. Good Job Warriors.

JV Seguin Round Robin Tournament
Some of our JV wrestlers will be participating in a Round Robin Tournament today at Arlington Seguin High School. We will weigh-in at 5:00 and wrestle at 6:00.

Lone Star Duals Meeting
Dear Parents / Supporters
We're having a quick meeting Tuesday, December 15th at 6pm at the Keel theatre to go over our Tournament Lone Star Duals.
Please make sure you put this date on your calendar to attend we need all the support that we can get for this event. We will also Have another meeting after the Christmas break on Tuesday, January 5th . This would be to finalize the Lone Star Duals event so please Make sure you add this date to your calendar as well. Thanks for all the support !

We had tournaments this weekend for both boys and girls. Both teams did exceptionally well. Our girls finished in 2nd place at the Coppell Classic. That is our highest placing ever at that tournament, we also beat out coppell who is our district rival.
Our boys varsity team were tournament team champions at the Sam Houston High School Invitational. They won 1st place by a landslide.
This evening we will have a match against Euless Trinity at SGP high school. The matches should start around 6:00 p.m. This will be for boys and girls varsity, boys JV...as well as some middle school matches.
This week and weekend we will have more competitions. Our boys JV will be at Arlington Seguin on Thursday evening...matches should start around 5:00 p.m.

Coppell Girls Classic
Our Varsity Girls competed in the Coppell Classic last Saturday. We finished 2nd which is our highest placing ever. 1st place went to Janiqua Mitchell and Abigail Posada. Anabel Posada received 2nd and Caren Carmona got 3rd. Good job ladies.
Sam Houston Tournament
Cogratulations to the Boys Varsity Wrestlers. We took 1st place at the Sam Houston Invitational on Saturday, Dec. 5th. Ist place individual placers were: Dominic Yang, Chris Carmona, Dusty Bess, John Hubbard, and Javier Ornales. 2nd place went to Christian Salinas and Salvador Hernandez. 3rd place went to Ricky Ortiz, Marcus Steele, and Breyon Owens. God job WARRIORS!
